Leyton Group is proud to officially announce that our state-of-the-art in-house spraying facilities became fully operational in December 2024.
The new £250,000 investment is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering high-end, quality-assured architectural and structural metalworks for clients and partners all over the country.
Managing Director, Fraser McFarlane said:
“It’s been fantastic to see the first few projects happen within the space, expanding our capabilities and our vision to be a leader in the field. This investment means we can go further in delivering exceptional work that we’re proud to put our name to.”
Eliminating sub-contractors from the spraying process means we’re better equipped to have more control over quality assurance at every step of the project, ensuring consistent, high-quality finishes that meet our exacting standards and clients’ detailed briefs.
The new unit is fully equipped to accommodate all processes involved in applying a powder coat to the metalworks created, including priming and cleaning the surface of the metal using sanding methods or shot blasting. We use a high-temperature oven to cure the coated parts.
By managing this process end to end, we’re better able to deliver what our clients need and in a more efficient time frame.
Our in-house spraying facilities will further benefit our clients by:
Reducing or eliminating delays. As all work is now completed in-house, we have greater control on turnaround times and are able to streamline our processes so clients receive their metalwork on time, for less.
Improving capabilities for prototyping. We can now test all aspects of a design, including new finishes and coatings in our warehouse, so clients can confidently pick the finish that’s right for their project.
Lowering the environmental impact of a project. We pride ourselves on creating products that comply with a number of environmental and safety standards, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and BREEAM. By not outsourcing spraying and finishing to a third party, we now have greater environmental accountability for all of our processes — including reducing our carbon footprint by eliminating the need for transport to other locations — so clients can rest assured that their finished product will have had the smallest possible impact on the environment.
