Two recent projects involving Leyton Group have received recognition at this year’s British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards.
Capital Group – Best Fit Out of a Workplace – view case study
Capital Group’s new European headquarters at 1 Paddington Square won the award for Best Fit Out of a Workplace. The office design is a stunning blend of style and functionality, with two standout feature staircases that help connect the space.
Leyton was responsible for creating a large-scale staircase that combines solid plate and seamless glass to deliver both a practical and striking design. Gold detailing and timber accents add a touch of elegance, making this feature a perfect complement to the overall aesthetic. The staircase doesn’t just look great; it helps people navigate the space naturally, enhancing the flow of the entire office.
GSK’s headquarters in central London took home the Innovation Award, thanks to its forward-thinking approach to workplace design. The focus on health, collaboration and sustainability led to the creation of a unique environment, featuring the largest indoor vertical farm in Europe.
Leyton contributed to this innovative project by designing and installing a bold steel staircase. With over 30 tonnes of steel, curved timber panelling and integrated LED lighting, this feature makes a strong statement. The stair was meticulously installed onsite in sections and welded for a seamless finish. The lighting follows the curves of the timber, creating a warm, luxurious atmosphere.
