About Us
When you need high-quality, bespoke structural or architectural metalwork, Leyton Group is your partner of choice.
Introducing Leyton Group
For over a decade, Leyton Group has built a strong reputation as a leading designer, fabricator and installer of both structural and architectural metalwork. With a strong track record in major fit-out projects, we are best known for creating feature staircases but can offer you much more. Working with architects, contractors and others, we can take your project from its original design intent through to manufacture and installation. With extensive, modern in-house facilities, we can turn your metalwork projects into reality – no matter how large or complex your requirements.
Our capabilities
Leyton Group is one of the few companies that can offer you both structural and architectural metalwork services. This makes us an ideal choice for complex projects that require both. Not only are you assured of quality, but using one company for structural and architectural metalwork helps to keep your costs down and prevent deadlines from slipping.
Whether you need a partner to work with you from the conceptual stage, or you’d simply like to commission us to fabricate your own designs, we can help. At every stage of our work – whether it’s making prototypes, manufacturing items or installing the finished products – we have stringent quality checks in place, ensuring the highest possible quality.
Our Factory
All the metalwork we produce is made in-house at our premises. Our skilled operatives benefit from a well-equipped factory that contains multiple fabrication bays and precision machinery. Our equipment includes a plasma cutter, multiple press brakes, cutting facilities for beams, cranes and much more. By keeping our manufacturing in-house, we are able to speed up projects and make sure standards are kept high. We also have our own painting division and fit any finishes to items before delivering them direct to your jobsite using our own flat-bed trucks or vans.
Health & Safety
At Leyton Group, health & safety are at the forefront of everything we do. Every employee is trained to work at their specific tasks safely and undergoes regular refresher courses. Health & safety is built into all our processes and is a key consideration in all the tenders we submit. To learn more about our approach to health & safety, get in touch with us today.
Our Team
We may be a young and ambitious company, but we have a highly experienced team. Our management team, led by Managing Director Fraser McFarlane, works hard to maintain a strong order book, win major projects and ensure we deliver the best possible work to our clients. With over 60 employees, we also pride ourselves on attracting the best talent, from board level to our construction sites and the shop floor. To learn more about our team, get in touch today.
At Leyton Group, we work hard to make our business activities as sustainable as possible.
Because steel is a carbon intensive product, we have mapped our supply chain to better understand more sustainable steel sourcing options. As a result of this process, we are now moving towards selecting specific mills for each project.
We also take care that our products comply with LEED and WELL specifications. All main products are sourced with EPDs and we work with suppliers to secure REACH declarations. We reduce welding, filling, bonding and painting on site by opting for mechanical connections where possible. All the paints we use are assessed for lead concentration and we are currently exploring take-back schemes for cladding products.
In addition, we work to ensure that our products meet BREEAM criteria. We do this by ensuring all structural components are manufactured within a 24-mile radius, only using suppliers with responsible sourcing certificates, and designing staircases for deconstruction, flexibility and reuse.
We also strive to improve our internal best practices. For example, we don’t use packaging, we utilise reusable steel trolleys instead of pallets, and we make use of off-site cutting and manufacture.
