Orbit’s premises in Central London is steeped in history – but the client wanted to explore more contemporary design elements with this sweeping statement staircase. The piece was finished in solid black and set against a gold-tinged backdrop with subtle up- and down-lighting, which served to highlight its unusual shape. Soft landscaping and nature-inspired artwork tempered the bold use of colour and form.
