Structural and architectural metalwork is our speciality – but due to the nature of our clients’ projects, we often get asked to modify or enhance their staircase designs with one-of-a-kind features that meet their practical and aesthetic requirements.
If a solution or a system is not readily available, the team here at Leyton Group will gladly come up with a bespoke solution that meets the brief, however challenging or complex it may appear to be.
For example, we were recently asked to develop a unique LED handrail system for a client who wanted to illuminate their walkway with a continuous stream of light. Traditional LED setups tend to include brackets, which interrupt the light’s flow and create black spots at regular intervals – so, after finding that there was nothing currently on the market that would satisfy their needs, we created our own system that produces a seamless effect.
As you can see from this sample, the flush design delivers the contemporary look the client was hoping to achieve with their new staircase.
The LEDs are powered via hidden wireways within the bracketry, so all connections are virtually undetectable.
The client opted for a consistent colour and output. However, the LED lights can be programmed to accommodate different lighting levels, colours and outputs, making it a versatile system that could be adapted for any commercial application and controlled via a handy remote.
All our bespoke systems are created, tested and approved in-house, so you can be sure they meet (and often exceed) the benchmarks for quality and safety.
We can’t wait to see the final result in situ! For more information on the bespoke LED handrail lighting system featured here (and how it might be adjusted to suit your needs), or to discuss our design and installation capabilities in more detail, please contact us today.

These one-of-a-kind planters were an unusual project for the team here at Leyton Group – but creating them from scratch was a great opportunity to showcase our extensive fabrication skills for a client with a very clear vision.
Congratulations to Lauren Speariett, who has completed her very first solo project management job several weeks ahead of schedule after transitioning into a management role!
